When and where is the
event going to be held ?
The Dragon Boat Festival Race will be held on
Saturday, June 7,2008 at Ramsey Creek Park in Cornelius,
N.C. Ramsey Creek Park is on 18441 Nantz Road near
exit 28 of 1-77. |

How many people are needed to form
a dragon boat team?
A full dragon boat team consists
of 22 people: 20 paddlers, 1 drummer (Sho keeps the
beat of the
stroke), and 1 steer-person (Provided by the race
). Each team must have a minimum of eight female
paddlers. We generally suggest that each team have
two alternates as well, in case someone unexpectedly
drops out. All teams are required to have a drummer. |

Are there prizes or awards?
Trophies and
medals will be awarded to winning teams. |

How many practices does each team
get ?
As part of the registration fee, each team receives
two practice sessions during the designeated training
period,provided practice boat is delivered in time.
Each pracitce is 60 minutes long. More practice
information will be available in your team packet. |

Why practice?
Team practices are designed for all participats
to become familiar with some of the skills involved
with dragon boat racing and make your team's experience
more enhoyable.The goal of the race is participants
to have a good time with their teammates and to
showcase the values and benefits the sport can
provide. |
